Town climbed to 12th in the table after completing the Christmas league programme with a 4-1 home win over Millwall in torrential rain. Tommy Miller put Town ahead before Steven Reid put the Lions back on terms. However, Jermaine Wright, Marcus Bent and Miller again completed the victory. |

Blues manager Joe Royle said he was particularly pleased for the fans after his side beat Millwall 4-1 at Portman Road. Two goals from Tommy Miller, one a penalty, and one each for Jermaine Wright and Marcus Bent took Town to victory with Steven Reid replying for the visitors. |

An entertaining game at a foggy Fratton Park ended 1-1 after Pompey went one-up in the first half through Svetoslav Todorov before Thomas Gaardsøe headed an equaliser in the second period. Town did well enough to win the game a plethora of chances were wasted, particularly by Pablo Couñago while Chris Makin saw a red card late on. |

Town manager Joe Royle has included Jim Magilton in his squad despite the midfielder having missed training this week with a groin problem. Tommy Miller also missed training today but is still likely to be OK for the visit to Fratton Park on Saturday. |
